Public Art

One of my favorite aspects of living in New York, is knowing that I can find something incredible and surprising around almost every corner. Public art installations always take my breath away, particularly the above girl's head by Jaume Plensa which depicts a nine year old girl from Barcelona lost in thought and dreams. The photo I took of it above does it no justice, you have to go take a peek at Mad Sq Pk. The other sculpture is of a graffiti art treated larger than life French Bulldog outside the New York Palace by Julien Marinetti. Need I say more, it's a Frenchie after all! More on Doggy John here.
